My name is Courtney Victoria Esson and I am a British photographer, travel enthusiast and nature lover with a rather soft spot for landscape photography.
My photography journey started in 2009 when I was handed a film camera as part of my Fine Art degree. Absolutely clueless at first, I then learned how to process and develop film in the darkroom. The passion developed (pun intended ha!) very quickly, and all desires to be a costume designer were replaced with the need to have a camera in my hand.
After graduating I decided it was a good idea to learn how to use digital cameras, resulting in my first every camera: a Nikon D7000.
Over a few years I explored various photography styles before jetting off to South Korea to become a teacher. While living in South Korea I travelled in my spare time, inspired by the various landscapes I encountered and that feeling of finding new, exciting locations. Naturally, I settled into Landscape photography in particular.
4 years later and I am now back in The United Kingdom, where my aim is to continue to explore the outdoors and share my images in hopes of conveying the beauty of a place and the story of a moment. My curiosity to seek new places and learn about new cultures leads me on unique adventures, which I hope to convey through Youtube Vlog styled videos, from the tops of mountains to rural countryside villages.
You can follow my photography journey on various social media platforms. It's always great to hear feedback and from other like minded photographers too.
