Stay up to date with my projects, photography shoots I am planning, events I am attending and more!
Happy New Year!
Wishing you all a fantastic 2026! I hope 2025 treated you well and that the year ahead is even more incredible.

Thank you so much for all your support of my channel and photography over the past year. Whether you’ve liked a post, watched a video, left a comment, joined a workshop, or reached out with kind words, I truly appreciate it. Your time and encouragement mean more to me than you know.
I’ve taken a little time off over the holidays, as many of you will have as well, so I’ll be catching up on emails and messages shortly. Thank you for your patience.
I’m already getting the ball rolling on several photography and video projects for 2026, including some exciting long-distance travel this spring. I can’t wait to continue sharing the journey with you all.

Content Creator of the Year Nominee:
I am most honored that my name was put forwards for the Content Creator of the Year category for the AP Readers' Choice Awards. I was incredibly surprised to receive this email, but most grateful for the acknowledgment. To know that my videos are enjoyed and valued in such a way is wonderful, so, thank you!

2026 Workshop:
Thank you so much to everyone who joined me last year for workshops! I think it's safe to say we all had a blast and it was lovely to meet so many people from different walks of life.
Many of you have reached out in regards to next year's UK workshops, and at the moment I have no plans to run workshops in 2026. This is not because I do not enjoy doing so, I love them! I simply wish to put my focus towards another channel of my work. That being said, I may change my mind ha and if so you will know by Spring. I will still be a part of Siren Adventure Tours though and be running tours out to Iceland throughout the year! Otherwise, I will certainly be making plans to resume workshops in 2027!
What's next on Youtube?
In my latest video, I talk about my experience with the Hasselblad X2D, how it fits in my camera bag and discuss the reality of 'high-end' camera equipment.

Next up: I am revisiting a summer scene that didn't result in an image at the time, but that may be perfect for winter! This video will follow the process of learning a location, and how some images take time to capture.
Otherwise, I will be embarking on a black and white macro exploration, something I haven't done before! You will see some content from me soon, but I'm a little slow going so far this year as I'm struggling with some chronic headaches/migraines at the moment, which is certainly making getting out and about a little challenging. Hopefully, I get the ball rolling a bit more soon.

Weekly Fungi Hunt:
Gear of the Month:
I was lucky enough to spot some Hair Ice on a walk a few days ago! Hair Ice is a very special and rare phenomena, where a very specific type of fungus (Exidiopsis Effusa) existing in dead/rotting wood, produces these icy strands that look like hair! This is rare because it needs VERY specific conditions to grow in; just below 0 degrees Celsius but without the wood freezing over. I found quite a few small branches covered in it which was incredible, and the more I looked the more I found! I didn't have a camera on hand at the time (well...I had my phone ha) so hopefully I can come across some more for a proper photo shoot!

My Filming Set Up:

My Nikon Z30 and main filming lens (24mm f/1.7) go through a lot. I certainly put them through their paces! I've been asked about what I use to film a lot recently, and this is it! Some of you may remember I recently had to replace my Z30 body, and it wasn't due to water (rain) damage as you may have expected! The LCD screen simply gave out after so much use and it just happened to do so in the midst of a rather heavy shower. I toyed with the idea of changing this set up seeing as I had to replace the camera body anyway, but I realised that it worked so well for what I do. That, and setting it up is practically muscle memory at this point! I enjoy the quality of footage that I get from this camera and it's a huge part of every video project.
