INFORMATION:
-
Event Time: 10am-2pm
- We will start our walk by 10:15am at the latest, meeting near the pay machine.
- You are welcome to stay beyond 2pm or leave earlier. This is not a structured event or workshop, and so you are welcome to leave at any point.

-
Location: Woodchester Park, Nympsfield, Stonehouse GL10 3UP
- Please check the website below for directions for the National Trust Buckholt car park off the B4066.

- Parking is £3 all day, unless you are a National Trust member. There is a coin pay machine, however, sometimes this is out of use. Instead, you will need to pay by phone.
- An alternative is to park at Coaley Peak Car Park opposite the turn off for Woodchester Park. Please note you will need to make your own way to the meeting point at Buckholt car park which is a 10-15 minute walk.

-
Activity Level: Moderate
- There are a couple of hills and steep steps around the park. The walk from the car park to the mansion is downhill, and the return back to the car park will be uphill. Otherwise, trails around the lakes are easy to access and generally not slippy or muddy.
- As we will be taking photos along the way, there will be plenty of stopping and starting.

-
What is there to photograph?
- Woodchester Park is home to some beautiful woodland that may see bluebell, wild garlic and other wild flower growth this time of year.
- There are three lakes to walk around where you may spot some wildlife. If there has been some rain, you will see a lot of snails too!
- Then of course there is Woodchester Mansion itself and a boat house on the first lake. (NOTE: We will not be going inside the mansion, those who wish to are welcome. There is an admission fee.)

-
Is there a place to eat and sit?
- Woodchester Mansion does have a cafe, however, I would recommend you bring plenty of food and water with you while we walk.
- There is limited seating in front of the mansion and benches dotted around the park trails.
- The toilets at the mansion should also be open.

-
What if the weather is bad?
- Spring can see some unpredictable weather. Unless there is continuous, heavy rain or thunderstorms, the walks will go ahead. In case of any cancelled events, please check back here 24 hours before.
